Our Mission
To support the growth of a regenerative, resilient and caring community by connecting people, services and resources in Mid Canterbury.
Our History
Formed in July 2017 by an initial board of nine members from across Mid Canterbury, Connecting Mid Canterbury wants to help people connect with each other and with resources and services available in the district. Our two main initiatives; Mid Canterbury TimeBank and Keep Learning Mid Canterbury (originally known as the Learning Exchange) launched on October 1 2017. Through these initiatives and all the work we do, our aim is to make it easy for all people in our district to put into practice the 5 Ways to Wellbeing;
Connect, Give, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Be Active.
Our Funders
While we receive TimeBank memberships fees and can cover some costs with ticketed Keep Learning events, Connecting Mid Canterbury is dependent on external funders for most of the operational costs associated with our initiatives. We are hugely grateful for those who partner with us in helping to Connect Mid Canterbury!
